I find the idea of digital art very cool and interesting but to buy it just as a digital copy is very weird to me. I myself am trying to sell my photography digitally as an NFT yet I still think the concept is so strange. I would much rather own a physical copy of a piece of art than a digital file for that price. The only main reason I think people buy the digital pieces is to simply turn around and resell it for more money. I think if Michael Green was more well known and his work was seen as more valuable, then it would sell in a heartbeat simply because someone could resell it for a higher price. When I look into the NFT community, most that sell from the original owner are being resold within days of it getting bought. The art is not necessarily just being bought because of how great it is but also because of the artist's name. There are some artist's that I see releasing pictures that are nothing crazy but sell out within hours because of how well known the photographer is. I think in order for Michael's piece to sell he has to grow a significant following first and get his piece to be more well known. If people begin to see his "popularity" and significance in the piece, then it will sell quickly just to be resold within days. I do think that a lot of "museums" for art are digital now because it allows easy access for people to see your art, so artists are taking advantage of that. Although, I do hope that physical museums stay a thing forever because I think the act of going to them is fun and gets you out of the virtual world to look at the past.
